FerventMind is made by FerventWord Ministries. We built it so your maps, notes and ideas stay yours.

We Don’t Collect Your Data

FerventMind has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We don’t run servers that receive your maps or anything you type, draw or record. The app makes no network connections of its own; the only one is the App Store, to check your purchase.

Where Your Maps Are Kept

Maps are files on your device or in your own iCloud Drive, in the folders you choose. Apple stores and syncs them under Apple’s privacy policy. The library folder you choose, such as your iThoughts folder, is only ever read. The first time it opens, FerventMind adds a Sample Maps folder of example maps to its own folder.

A few things follow you between your devices through your iCloud account: your colour palettes, favourite and recent maps, filters, and which sample maps have been added. Backups of your maps, the search index and map thumbnails stay on each device.

Recordings And Handwriting

If you record yourself in Presenter Mode, FerventMind uses the microphone only while you record, and saves the recording on your device or in your iCloud Drive. If you write on cards with Apple Pencil, the ink and the recognised text are saved inside your map. Handwriting is recognised on the device; it is never sent to us or anyone else.

Purchases

Unlock Editing is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your payment details. The app asks Apple only whether editing is unlocked on your Apple Account.

Links You Open

Opening a link in a map, or a Bible reference in your Bible app, hands it to your device; we don’t see it.

Children

FerventMind collects no information from anyone, including children.
